Exclusive 8 week series
I am excited to bring you this series — My Secrets For Buying Your First Home Like a Pro– featuring little-known tips and strategies that you can’t get anywhere else.
I’ve personally been through the home buying process 1.5 times and with the knowledge I’ve gained through that and with helping other first time home buyers, I’ve nailed down what works and I’m here to let you in on those proven secrets!
Buying a home can be confusing and even intimidating at times. That’s why it’s perfectly okay to find yourself outside of your comfort zone.
My goal with this series is to make you more comfortable and that starts with making you a more confident and knowledgeable homebuyer … with a professional’s edge.
For the next 8 weeks I’ll teach you the “the why’s, the how’s, and the must-do’s” of home buying. These tips and tricks will help you better understand yourself and the journey you’re about to take. And when the time comes, you’ll be fully prepared (and confident) to make an offer on a home.
The topics I cover are the “back story” and give a inside view of the “behind the scenes” of buying your first home. They are a great way to get a good overview of the thought process you should consider before you begin a serious home search. These topics will help you prep yourself before embarking on the journey of becoming a homeowner.
My goal with this series is to help you become a more aware buyer who understands that buying a home doesn’t have to be stressful or full of regret. (I’ve also got more series to come that will go into more detail about mortgages, budgeting, and each and every step you’ll need to take up until closing.)
So what can you expect with this series:
Go With the Flow of the Market: Just like riding a wave, you’ve got to learn about that natural ups and downs of the market and what to expect when. Buying a home requires an understanding of not only the seasonal shifts in market activity but also the weekly flow of the market. You need to change your tactics depending on the season you’re shopping in and the way the market is and I’ll break it all down for you and tell you exactly when the tide is coming in and when it’s flowing out.
What NEVER to Do Before Buying a Home: Did you know that some of your normal — even harmless everyday activities — could hurt your chances of buying your dream home? I’ll tell you what the common missteps are that may keep you from homeownership and tell you how to avoid them.
Red Flags to Avoid When Buying a Home: No home is perfect (trust me, I know) but my list of hidden red flags could save you in the long run. You may be shocked by what you should look out for BEFORE you even make an offer. I’ll let you know how to identify the difference between a red flag and when to waive the white flag and surrender and move on to a different, better home.
4 Little Known House Hunting Tips: Sometimes looking at homes is a lot more fun than answering questions from your future mortgage company and I would agree! But even when it feels like you’re a house hunter on an episode of HGTV, you still have to be very strategic. I’ll let you in on two little-known things you should do and two more things you shouldn’t when hunting for your first home.
Buyers’ Most Frequent Questions Answered: The questions you have about buying a home are probably the same ones every other buyer out here wants to know too. And the main thing you want to be sure of is that you aren’t doing something wrong, right? Or you worry that you don’t know what you don’t know. I will provide answers to some of the most common questions out there and help you become better informed and reassured as a home buyer.
Is the “Paradox of Choice” Derailing Your Home Search: When looking for your first home (or any home) you may find yourself wanting to see everything in your price range, or needing to look at ONE MORE property. I use the tips in the book everyday with my clients and I will share them with you! More is not always better!
How to Buy a Home Even with Student Loan Debt: Do you have student loan debt and think you’ll never be able to buy a home? You’d be surprised at how you can still buy a home while having what may feel like a crushing amount of student loan debt. I did it with my first home, and you may be able to as well! “Can’t stop, won’t stop” is my motto when it comes to student loans being in the way of you becoming a homeowner.
Buying a Home Is Like Falling in Love: Buying a home is sometimes like finding a mate, you’ve got to know your must-haves and deal breakers. You may even have to go through a heart-break when you lose out on property before you can get serious about buying. That first heartbreak will make you stronger and wiser. Here’s how you can make the most of your journey in finding a home you love and will eventually buy.
